Requirements for permanence in the Program

 

1. To remain enrolled in the master’s program, full-time students must take and pass 3 modules or seminars per semester during two years, and comply with all complementary activities.

 

2. To obtain a favorable tutor evaluation.

 

3. If the student receives an unfavorable evaluation, the Academic Committee will determine under which conditions the student will continue studying in the master’s program. If the student receives a second unfavorable evaluation, they will be dismissed from the Program, in which case, the student may apply for an appeal of his academic situation by the Academic Committee.

 

The decision by the Academic Committee will be undisputable.

 

4. In exceptional and justifiable cases, the Academic Committee could authorize up to two additional semesters for the student’s conclusion of credits and/or final research project.

 

5. Exceptionally, part-time students could be admitted. The Academic Committee will be in charge of permitting those exceptions. The part-time student will have 6 semesters to obtain all credits and final research project.

6.The Academic Committee could authorize up to two additional semesters to obtain all credits and finish the final research project.

 

 

7. To comply with established dispositions delineated in the operating regulations of the Graduate Program and the General Rules and Regulations of Graduate Studies..

 

8. Before the end of the first year, the student, in case they have not complied with the language requirement during the application process, will have to demonstrate proficiency in comprehension and writing of that language by obtaining a certificate from the UNAM’s Foreign Students Learning Center or any other UNAM language center or from any other certificated institution deemed satisfactory by the Academic Committee.
